Random Doodles and Bits

Hey, everyone! ❀ Just sharing some quick drawings I’d done a while ago. Hoping to work on new pieces tomorrow if I can find the time! πŸ™‚

I don’t know why but I tend to like coloring people’s skin tones in various shades of grey. Not a very healthy look, but one I’ve often enjoyed doing for some reason.

Also, I’ve always drawn ladies wayyyy more than guys. It’s just more fun in my opinion. πŸ™‚

What sorts of artsy things do you enjoy doing? Any quirky art habits? I’d love to hear about it!

  1. I don’t have any quirky art habits. I have no artistic talent at all. I just admire those, like yourself, who do.

It’s odd – people on both sides of my family could (when they were alive) or can draw and paint extremely well but I completely missed those genes. (I have holes in my genes!)

    Anyway, keep it up. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you very much! πŸ™‚ lol I feel like that too with some things. Especially stuff like playing musical instruments, I have like zero skills in that department. πŸ˜›

  2. Super awesome! The last one with the crimson hair and gray skin really pops out of the screen. Reminds me a little of Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, you know if she had a thirst for blood lol. Hopefully you find time to draw more. Have a good night (just getting home lol).

  3. Have you ever thought about becoming a tattooist? I’d buy one. My weird arty thing that I like to do is dry brush. The closed thing I can relate it to is putting tracing paper over a coin and shading over it with a pencil. Seeing the picture come to life.

    1. Oh yeah! I haven’t done that in a while, but I remember doing that as well. πŸ™‚
And thanks, yeah, tattooing is something I’ve sort of considered before, but I’m afraid my shading skills aren’t up to snuff so it would really limit the work I could do. Maybe if I work at it though! πŸ™‚

      1. A lot of tattooists are all rounders but there are also many specialised artists too. Eg Portraits or old school. You could specialise in cartoon/comic/pop art type Tatts. Anyway, just a thought. Keep up the good stuff!

      2. Oh, wow! That’s awesome to know. I’d always assumed that since I pretty much just do cartoonish stuff that I didn’t have a wide enough range to venture into doing tattoos. Thanks for the info! You’re awesome! πŸ˜€

  4. Yet more awesome pics! πŸ™‚ I agree on the drawing of ladies over men, I also always enjoy drawing ladies more. My upcoming web comic has both a female protagonist and a female antagonist. Keep up the great work my friend. πŸ™‚

  5. Your so, so talented. I can’t draw to save my life. I think the only artsy thing I do (like the old lady I am) is my crochet and knitting. Beautiful drawings. Love the colors. Please draw me! I would be honored. (I almost wrote please do me, but then I realized that would be weird so I changed it lol, sorry, not a native speaker)

    1. lmao Nice catch there! Too funny. πŸ˜›
Knitting would be awesome, I’m just afraid I lack the attention span for it. lol I’d wind up with a very short, unfinished scarf most likely. πŸ˜› I think that is cool that you knit and crochet. Do you think you’ll ever post any of your creations for us to look at? It would be neat to see! πŸ™‚

      1. You just need attention at first, the it becomes automatic lol you just do it. But crochet is easier so I would start with that. Of course I will show, some of this days I will post about my works of art…not.
