Ignited Birthday Moth!

Woo! It’s my burfdayyyyy! 😀 Time for a birthday-cake-fueled-sugar-high that results in the mass murder of countless Piñatas, opening my presents to discover that I FINALLY got that pony I’ve been asking for all these years, and of course an obnoxious amount of confetti and glitter.

Psh, I wish. 😛 Nah, I’ll actually be going to work today like some lame ass adult. (When you work a Monday through Friday job, partying is reserved for the weekends.) 😉 This past weekend my boyfriend took me out for some birthday adventures including exploring some really cool shops, going to a fantastic Irish pub for dinner and drinks, and spoiling me with prezzies and the most amazing peanut butter cheesecake with dark chocolate ganache. Yum! (Not to mention the birthday dinner and delicious homemade pistachio cake topped with pistachio mousse my family made me on Sunday.) Sooo good! I’m sorry, but eating healthy just isn’t an option when birthdays are involved.

Going into this new year of my life, I’m feeling really good. 🙂 I have so many things to be thankful for and excited about, and I’ve got some truly amazing people in my life. ❤ Here’s to making this year just as good as last year!

  14. Sorry this is a little late – HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Eating ‘healthily’ isn’t allowed on birthdays anyway, it’s an obligation to eat cake and yumminess! Hope you had a lovely day and that this year is an amazing one for you 🙂

  16. A very merry unbirthd-wait, no scratch that…a very merry BIRTHDAY to you. It’s funny that you spelled it with the “f,” because if I’m not mindful, that’s how I pronounce it, and a coworker used to call me out on it ALL the time, and I’d correct it, but now I just say, “Nah” and eat my birfday cake with great relish. What’s your favorite kind? Of cake that is? Unwrapping a pony present would be more than just horseplay 😀

    1. Bwahaha the puns! 😛 I love it. Thank you so much! And I’m so glad someone pointed out the whole “unbirthday” thing because of the Alice gif. 😛 Hmmm . . . my favorite kind of cake . . . that’s a tough one. As long as it’s jazzed up with cool toppings or fillings and is really moist, I actually enjoy most types of cake. I do like vanilla cake quite a bit, though. My family tends to make cake with different flavored mousse toppings rather than frosting, so I think that I usually prefer that sort of thing to the more traditional buttercreams and whatnot. Pumpkin spice cake might just be one of my ultimate faves though, now that I think about it! What about you? Any favorite types of cake? 🙂
