Woo! It’s that magical time of year again! β€ I’ve been gearing up hard for Shark Week this year, so expect lots of fun shark-related posts. I’ve been working on fun shark-related drawings, using any ounce of free time I can get to play the video game Hungry Shark World, and am all set up with my Discovery+ account to binge-watch some fin-tastic shark content!
I may have gone overboard at work, but I know my class is going to have an absolute blast this Shark Week. I’m generally the only room that does Shark Week in the building, but this year our excitement seems to have caught on, and another team is joining in on the fun as well. π
In case any of you haven’t seen it already, here’s this year’s Shark Week lineup, as well as the extras available on Discovery+. Aaaand, don’t forget to check out all the oldies but goodies that air all throughout the week as well. π

Will you be partaking in Shark Week this year? What’s your favorite fictional shark? I couldn’t find any art challenges going on this year, so I mostly just drew shark fan art for fun. I hope you guys all have a Jawsome Shark Week! Looking forward to nerding out about sharks with you guys! β€
I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Snacker the Shark in Banjo-Kazooie π

SUCH a great choice! π Snacker is awesome. Every time I hear that music when he’s coming after me I freak out like a real shark is after me. lmao

Hehe I always look forward to your shark week posts because your excitement is palpable. Only because of you am I aware of shark week as a thing and Iβll definitely be watching a shark doco and maybe a shark movie. Iβm glad itβs becoming a contagious thing in your world hehe

Aww, thank you so much! β€ That makes me so happy! ^_^
C&M and I are planning to watch Jaws and do a buddy review for it this week. Surprisingly out of all the shark movies I've watched and loved, I've somehow never seen the granddaddy of all shark movies, so I'm excited to check it out finally. I hope you enjoy whichever shark movies/documentaries you end up watching. Thanks for always joining in on the fun! π

I will have to go with Street Sharks as my favorite fictional shark(s). Now don’t ask me to remember who is who, I’m picking everybody. Lol.
I can’t wait for all the shark related content! I’ve been having a blast with shark week. I’ve appreciated if not loved every episode thus far.

That is so cool that you weave shark week into your work!! The people are lucky to have you. And can I say that “fin-tastic” is totally brilliant? LOL. Hmmmm, fav fictional shark would have to be those damn sharks in 47 Meters Down. I have to say, the special effects, being totally underwater, and the choice to shoot a lot of the movie from the swimmer’s perspective underwater? Yeah, all that gave me massive scares! I watch that movie all folded up like a pretzel to hide from being too freaked out! I will say we used to have friends who were divers, and they tried to ruin the movie for me. Apparently, the further down you are, the more pressure per cubic whatevers, which means your oxygen tank runs out faster. There’s some math formula for it. Basically, Mandy Moore would have run out of air in about 6 minutes, or something short like that.

Aww, thank you very much! β€ Yeah, I love being able to celebrate Shark Week with my participants. They've been having SO much fun this week and absolutely loving all the shark-related activities and games. The sharks from 47 Meters Down are a totally solid choice! Love that movie! π
Haha yeah, it would have been a MUCH shorter movie if they made it more accurate. π
